A stunning couple, a beach setting, and a day full of the biggest smiles and happiness? Sounds like our dream wedding!

Him: Intellectual property consultant. Her: 4th year medical student

Our love story: We met in middle school, when I had a crush on him, but started dating senior year of high school. He went to Colgate & I went to Emory. We stayed together freshman year and then broke up for 3 years. We got back together after college when I lived in St. Louis, MO and he lived in Boston. I finally came back to the Northeast for medical school in 2008 and he proposed May 1, 2010.

Something old: I wore my biological mother’s veil and garter– she passed when I was little.

DIY: The table numbers were large scallop shells with hand painted numbers by my mom. The place cards were typed and hand tied with raffia to starfish by me. The drink stirrers had small shells hot glue gunned to the top by my mom.

Design inspiration: The beach. From the drink stirrers to the cookies shaped like fish and starfish to the sand dollar cake it was all beach-inspired. We had flip flops and pashminas to keep our guests comfortable on the beach in mid-September in Rhode Island.
