The Fete Blog

It’s been a hectic week over here in Fête world– I know, I probably say that a lot, but it’s true. My Google Reader hates me; Twitter is neglected; Pinterest is a luxury. It’s a rare few days I get to spend with John, but he’s been relegated to watching basketball and soccer (what a chore) while I hunch over my laptop in the corner with wedding-glazed eyes. Not our wedding, no– the Hook’s Summer Wedding issue is in production this week and I am MIA to the rest of the world. So, apologies for a quieter week of posting. But after a relaxing weekend, we will be back to business come Monday!

Isn’t this ombre centerpiece by Sugar Magnolias (and shot by Elisa B Photography) breathtaking? I can’t take my eyes off it… stay tuned, it’s part of a bigger inspiration piece in next week’s Summer Weddings! (Can Sugar Magnolias style my everyday life? Thanks.)

Dinner party inspiration: We love following the Kinfolk Mag dinners across the country and this film from the Philadelphia dinner makes us swoon with envy. When are they coming to DC??

Summer read: Jennifer Carroll, one of our favorite local designers, released the summer issue of her online magazine, “Celebrating Everyday Life”– loving each gorgeous page of this issue!

New online mag! Okay, so Covet Gardens isn’t a new publication, just a new find for me (thanks to this post from SF Girl by Bay). I’m so intrigued– this looks like the perfect Sunday-morning-with-a-cup-of-coffee read.

Decor: Loving this poster from MadeByGirl that was featured on Camille Styles today– this is definitely going in my home!
