Happy Weekend! Links / Nov 3
Happy November weekend! Only two more months left in 2012… am I the only person who thinks this is totally insane? I’m so looking forward to giving myself a lazy, lounging weekend (I always feel guilty during the week for wanting to read or relax– always have to be working!). I’m torn over the cancellation of the NYC Marathon on Sunday… I think it was the right call and all the athletes in town should go out to Staten Island and volunteer, but, as a runner, I can understand how bummed out everyone is. Stay strong NYC!!

Some weekend reading for you–>
-This winter wardrobe round-up by Victoria of SF Girl by Bay– I want every. single. piece.

-Last, but most meaningful, political piece: Elizabeth Messina (aka Kiss the Groom) wrote this letter to President Obama.
-Fall/Winter listening– Andrew Bird released a new album that is stark and beautiful (per usual). Pitchfork is streaming it here!

-Start thinking about your Thanksgiving meal! The Bitten Word gives us the trends food magazines are predicting for this year’s festivities!
-My friend Ashley has embarked on a 30-day eating plan and swears it’s sustainable (and fun). Her basics for a successful eating plan is a must-read if you’re interested in something like this.
