“Jackie booked Pebble Beach sight unseen,” says Debi Lilly, event planner with the Chicago-based studio A Perfect Event. ”Now that, my friends, is love.” For a golf aficionado and his gorgeous fiancee, Pebble Beach– picture-perfect and personality-packed– was just the right location. I’m swooning over the photography by Davina + Daniel– aren’t these shots epic?

From Debi: “Jackie’s groom loves his golf. And golfers love Pebble Beach. He, like every good golfer, pictured their wedding ceremony alongside the infamous 18th hole of Pebble Beach, Pacific waves crashing, cypress covered course. So off we went– dozens of boxes loaded, trucks packed, making our way on land and sea across the good ol’ US of A, headed to the sunshine state.”

“Pebble Beach is heaven on earth. California classic and cool. The setting defies description. The weather was idyllic. The ceremony was held seaside on the cliffs of Carmel Bay overlooking the bobbing sailboats dotting the Pacific.”

“Incorporating the bride’s Scottish heritage, a bagpiper led the guests along the cart path, from The Lodge to The Beach Club around the point. There, Dom Perignon was poured while an oversize raw bar sat beside a crackling fire on the terrace, overlooking the harbor as the sunset.”

“Inside the dining room, thousands of local lavender and plum hydrangea, antique roses, sweetpeas and other soft, summer blooms filled silver urn collections on tables covered in lilac silk and carved stone mantles. After a four-course meal, a Parisian crepe bar opened in the library for the ultimate ending to the meal of a lifetime.”
