Happy Weekend! Links! / Feb 3

This week was fabulous, but I did quite a bit of “slacking off,” as you could probably tell by my late posts, quiet twitter, and inactive Facebook pages. John thinks I’ve totally overdone it with my social media, and maybe I have… it certainly is refreshing to step away from it all when I have the opportunity to play all day with friends, go out to long lunches, stay out at late-night dinners, and be a bit rebellious about my workload/schedule. Oh well– back to the grind!

The prettiest illustration! I imagine the story is a bit like Cinderella– the royal family waiting to greet the fair maidens of the land, hoping that at this ball, the Prince will find his true love. via Danse de Lune

It’s Sunday, but there’s still time to get some reading done! A few links I’ve loved this week–>

-Decor8 shows us some of the loveliest pops of yellow.

-Super Bowl party inspiration by the wedding mavens at Style Me Pretty (you still have time to throw a few of these recipes and looks together!)

-Cilantro Ginger Hummus. Yes. Just, yes.

-The ManRepeller muses over this piece about the “perpetual girlfriend” (hiring an escort) versus real relationships. Both her thoughts and the original piece are fantastic. More on this later…

-Wedding o’the week award goes to the team at Sugar & Fluff for this beauty they designed, styled, and coordinated!

-Do you Vine? I’m obsessed with it, although it frustrates me to no end that half the time, my videos won’t upload! Decor8 has more thoughts on it– please read if you’re part of that network!

-Elsie & Emma have some beautiful thoughts and tips for living an inspired lifemust read, must read!

-The Sweetest Occasion put together a kick-ass round up of the up-and-coming (design, diy, food) blogs! I’m going through the list to find new favorites!

-I love this girl’s cut (and the Sartorialist did too!)

-Rue Daily!!

-So much truth here: a favorite former classmate of mine talks about what made The O.C oh-so-great.

-“Difficult but Worth It”– an affective campaign for why you should get married? This piece by Jezebel gets right to the heart of the current marriage PR debates.

-DIY o’the week: okay, even I can do this– this perpetual calendar by Apartment Therapy is fabulous!

Lots of fun in packed in one place– happy reading and happy weekend!! xoxo
