Who doesn’t love the theater? {And let’s be honest, we like the “theatre” spelling better– to be used from here on out.}
Maybe it was the musical my parents took John and I to last night, or maybe it was the inspiration from my gorgeous friend, fellow twinlover, and professional performer Chiara (whose current musical, Guys and Dolls, is now playing down in South Florida) or maybe it’s that combination of a dilapidated-yet-grand state that American theaters find themselves in today… but something about the theatre is driving me this week.
What was it that Shakespeare said? “Life’s but a walking shadow, a poor player / That struts and frets his hour upon the stage / And then is heard no more.” That sounds about right…
1. This abandoned theatre has such a punch of elegance and character. Unreality Mag 2. Chiara Casi, performer, musician, ballerina, here in Guys and Dolls costume. 3. This is exactly what I think of when I think of “theatre.” Pinterest 4. Or this. Pinterest 5. This overgrown seating area is perfection. Abandoned Places
